            A short educational trip is a welcome change. Jam packed with book and syllabus completion – a trip is a wanted one. An educational trip was organized to Andaman for class X to XII , in the month of September. Students visited anthropological museum, marine music, the chatam sawmill (one of the oldest and largest in Asia) cellular jail, and sagarika cottage industry emporium at Port Blair.

          Students got the opportunity to experience life under water by participating in sea-walk, scuba diving, & ride in a glass bottom boat. The under water marine life is a delight to the eyes. Students visited Ross island- which was the erst while capital of Port Blair- and presently houses the ruins of old official building.

                   Sense of patriotism was felt during the light and sound show at cellular jail.

The trip was an overall learning experience for students, as they learnt about  the history, geography, tribal life, flora & fauna & the occupation of the people. The tour was planned and well organized by Emperor Travels- Coimbatore. We help students to relax and take back cherished moments of school life.

Nilgiri Biosphere Nature Park – Anaikatti

To introduce our students of class II & IV, to the rich diversity of the flora and fauna of the Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve, Students and Teachers visited the Reserve Park, and spent a day with nature, trekking down the forest, and visiting the amphitheatre.

Ramayana Theme Park – Coimbatore

Saluting our culture and honoring our Epics, Students of class U.K.G, were taken to Ramayana Park. To help children learn and enjoy the characters of Ramayana, this initiative was taken by the school to help learn better. Students had an enjoyable field trip and learning happened in a fun way.

K.R Bakes Cochin

       An industrial visit to K.R Bakes was organized for the students of class 6 on the 8th July 2016. 

       Food – being a necessary part of life, the visit made them understand the hard work behind the making. Students went through the process that follows and, learning happened even outside the class rooms.

Biscuit Factory / Science Museum  – Eachanari

To make learning enjoyable, the students of class V were taken to Biscuit factory at Eachanari. Students went through the process of biscuit making and enjoyed hot biscuits. In this way education brings maturity. 

Jam Factory – Mettupalayam

To encourage for a better learning experience, we at Kikani Vidhya Mandir  takes student for field trips.  This time it was the Jam Factory at Mettupalayam.  Students went through the process of preparing jam, and learned about preservative and colouring agents.  This helped them to gain knowledge and was a wonderful get together.

Agricultural University – Regional Science Center, Coimbatore

To develop a scientific attitude and approach towards the lessons, that students go through, we at Kikani Vidhya Mandir encourage students for field trip related to learning.Student of class IX visited the Agricultural University & Regional Science Center and equipped themselves with the knowledge of vermi compost and visit to the apiary. The Regional Science Centre was an informative one. Students learned about working of machines, and gained knowledge about history of textiles.

Kikani Textile & Coir Factory –  Coimbatore 

Education and travelling goes hand in hand. To see the unseen / to know the unknown, we at Kikani Vidhya Mandir encourage students for Industrial Visits. Students of class 7, visited the textile and coir Factory, at kinathukadavu. Process of making husk and fiber was shown to the students. Students co-related the process, as learnt in text. Education is thus the act of learning things around us.

karunya Garden – Coimbatore 

To build personality, improve knowledge skill, we encourage children for field trips. Students of class I, accompanied by their teachers, visited karunya garden, at Alandurai. Learning happens even beyond the classroom.  Students enjoyed and had a fun – filled day  

Aavin Milk Factory,  Radio Astronomy Centre ,Tea Museum and Factory – Ooty 

        Student of class X visited the Aavin factory at Ooty, for their Industrial tour. The entire process of purifying milk, the latest processing plant, homogenizer, CIP systems, packing machine and the varied forms  of milk were shown to the students. Radio Astronomy Center was the other unit, which students attended. It is a part of the National Center for Radio Astrophysics, Students gained Knowledge about varied telescope and learned about interplanetary Scintillation.

Kerala Agricultural University – Thrissur 

          Learning can be enthusiastic and fun, when it is beyond the class-room. Students of class-8, visited the Kerala Agricultural University and had a fun day with nature.

          Students visited the veterinary Hospital (Anatomy Museum) and had an exciting and enjoyable day out. Learning happened even by travelling. Travelling is thus a  part of education. 

Pricol Private Limited – Coimbatore

                To give an exposure  to the business world, and to help students experience first.

        Students of XI & XII commerce were taken to Pricol Limited (Plant 1) at Coimbatore. Students went through the organisation, acquired skills on business enterprise, stage of production, and learnt about the varied training programmes available. This Industrial visit proved beneficial to them.

Regional Science Center – Codissia

        To develop and empower, the students of class XI & XII science we visited the Regional Science Center on the 3rd August 2016. Starting with Foucault pendulum, and its movement, and dealing with various working principles of machines, students equipped themselves with the stream of Astronomy, Textiles, and Sericulture.

        You gain knowledge only when you seek knowledge.
