Karthigai Deepam-2016

An open assembly to celebrate Karthigai Deepam was hosted by Grade – 9 Students. Assembly started with the prayer followed by news and thought for the day. Students delivered speech on the significance of the festival. Akkilesh Aravind.J of class III dressed up as little Muruga, on the dias was centre of attraction. The School principal Mrs. GeethaRaj along with students lit the rows of clay oil lamps. Devotional songs on lord Muruga was sung by the students while lighting the lamps, heightened the divine spirit. Let the lighted lamps ward off evil forces and usher in prosperity and joy. The assembly came to an end with the National Anthem.
