Annual Sports Day – 2018

Annual sports day was held on Saturday 11th August. A day filled with fervor and excitement, amidst thrills, shrills and cheers.

The day started off with the lovely rendition to the almighty. School principal Mrs. Geetharaj welcomed the gathering. School correspondent Mr. Tushar R Kikani declared the sport day open by releasing colourful balloons.

Chief guest Dr.P.S.Martin, principal, Navabharath, National Senior Secondary School was honored by the correspondent. The other guests present were Mr. Mukthar and Mr. Pradeep Kikani-Trust members.

School comprises of four houses, which are named after four core human values, “Ahimsa, Dharma, Mitratva and Sathya”. To inspire a healthy sense of competition, sense of belonging and a feeling of unity, these houses were assessed in various domains like March past, house display and intra school competitions.

A spectacular and well synchronized march past was lead by the school Head Boy Nithish.V.S of XII A and Head Girl Misbha. M.J of XII A, followed by the four houses. Guard of honor was received by the Chief Guest.

The splendid house display, which was splattered on the fields, was of hues and vibrance based on their respective themes and logos.

School head girl Misbah.M.J took a powerful oath on sports, and the same was repeated by other athletes.

Ceremonial torch was carried by a succession of individual champions right from the Grades I to XII. This was followed by an enthralling mass drill by all the graders.

Chief Guest Dr.P.S.Martin stated in his address, about the successful initiative efforts of the students in all spheres of the celebration and complimented the discipline maintained by the students.

The medals and certificates for the winners were given away by the Guest. Dharma house won the trophy for the best overall house with the score of 2111.

The day ended with a thanking note and National Anthem.
