Lamp Lighting Ceremony – Grade -10

KVM organized the Lamp Lighting Ceremony of Second batch of Grade -10 students on 10th of February 2016 at the School Auditorium. The Chief Guest was Mr. T. S. Ramani sanker, Senior Consultant Architect. Other Guests present were The School Correspondent Mr. Tushar R. Kikani and Trust members of SBKV Trust.

The programme started with a Sanskrit chant by Grade -9 Students. The dignitaries lit the mother lamp and the school Principal Mrs. Geetha Raj delivered the welcome speech.

As a token of love, students of Grade X & XI gifted the ‘Mother Lamp’ to the school, which will be a “leave back memory” for the forth coming years of KVM.

Students lit their lamps themselves from the mother lamp to authenticate that they are the future leaders of Kikani and stepped forward to a “New Epoch”. The Sanskrit slogan “Saraswathi Stotram “ was chanted by Grade -9 students to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswathi followed by “Give me oil in my lamp” by Grade XI students. The School Head Boy carried forward the oath. Few students from Grade -10 shared their journey down the memory lane.

The chief Guest addressed the gathering with his enlightening words. The School Correspondent Mr. Tushar R. Kikani shared his views on how to face the board exams confidently to the students. The ceremony came to an end with the vote of thanks by vice Principal Mrs. Jayalatha Rosalin.
