Ensemble 2022, the annual day of Kikani Vidhya Mandir took place on 19th November 2022 after a wait of two long years. The event happened in the presence of Shri Mohan Sankar, Chairman of Sankar group of companies, who presided as the Chief Guest, Shri Tushar Kikani, Correspondent, Shri Pradeep Kikani, Shri Chandrakanth Patel, Shri Prakash Asher and Shri Sachin Kotecha, Trustees of SBKV Trust, Ms Geetha Raj, Principal, Ms Jayalatha Rosalin, Vice-principal, Ms Shalini Nair, Principal Kikani Global Academy, Ms Asha Mary, Vice-principal Kikani Global Academy, Families of the trust members, Parents, Teachers and Students.

The evening began with the lighting of the lamp and prayer following which the tiny tots of the Kindergarten wing welcomed everyone with a cute and scintillating dance performance. Mrs Seena Mani formally welcomed the august gathering and the Chief Guest was then honoured. Mrs Geetha Raj, the Principal, presented a report on the happenings of the year. The new programmes introduced the academic achievements, the scholastic and co-scholastic events that happened over the year, the various remarkable achievements of students, teachers and school, the celebrations and various assemblies conducted and the industrial visits that happened were highlighted in the annual report. The remarkable achievements of the students and teachers also earned them points in the overall tabulation. Team Sathya headed by House Master Gokulnath, Vice-mistress Sathyala, Captain Deepika A and Vice-captain Charmi, emerged as the overall champions for the academic year and the dignitaries presented them with the trophy.

The Chief Guest, Shri Mohan Sankar addressed the gathering and urged students to follow their passion with full vigour and not succumb to societal pressure. He also motivated the students to give their best in whichever field they wished to excel in. The vote of thanks was proposed in advance by Ms Pradeepa wherein each and every one of them instrumental in putting up the entire event was thanked profusely.

Krsna, the dance drama was then performed by the students. The one-and-a-half-hour act began with a dance to evoke the blessings of Lord Ganesha. The act comprised 14 episodes in the life of Krsna that were beautifully showcased. Starting with the Avatara Rahsya, the tiny tots of Kindergarten transcended the audience directly to Vishnu Loka. Kamsa the very important reason for the birth of Krishna was portrayed by students in grade 2. The grand wedding of Devaki and Vasudev, set to the tunes of ‘Albela Sajan Ayo Re’ was showcased by students of grade 1. Krishna Janmashtami was then celebrated by students of Ukg characterized as citizens of Gokula. A Mother’s love is the utmost necessity in a child’s life and Krishna’s was no exception. Yashoda’s motherly love was beautifully showcased by students of grades 1 and 2. The portrayal of the universe inside Krishna’s mouth through the LED screen added magic to the whole performance.  Taming the venomous serpent ‘Kaliya’ is a story which is very popular, however, this episode was brought to life in the most perfect way by students of grade 3. Goavrdhanagiridhari was a befitting act to the original tale. The anticipation of Rains, the sufferings due to the floods and finally Krishna lifting the Govardhan hill were portrayed with perfect expressions by students of grade 4. Radha and Krishna shared a very special friendship and the theme would be incomplete without portraying Ras Leela hence it was not just one but three acts by students of grades 6, 7 and 8. Good vs Evil was another beautifully staged act by students of grades 6 and 7, set to the tunes of ‘Ratchasa Mamane’. Vishwaroop of Krsna in the Mahabharata was brought out with much divinity onto the stage by students of grade 6, which enthralled the audience. The finale of the dance drama was an energetic performance by students of grades 9 to 12 wherein the Supreme lord was celebrated through a mash-up of some peppy numbers.

The event came to an end with the audience showering their appreciations to Ms Raj Adroja and Ms Sweety Jain of ‘Raj Adroja Dance Company’ who choreographed whole dance drama followed by the National Anthem. The Mistress of Ceremony was Ms Sruthi Unnikrishnan and dance drama was narrated by Ms Jayalakshmi, Ms Pradeepa , Ms Mekala Devi and Ms Pachaiammal.
