Students of Grade X and XII of Kikani Vidhya Mandir joined together to serve humanity visiting the M.Ram Aravindar Charitable trust home for the aged on 13th November 2017. Offerings to the home included, health drinks, blankets, sweaters, scarf, devotional music cd’s and books were contributed by students from Grade III to XII . Students were indeed happy to communicate with the Grandparents .They shared events happening in the school and at home , narrated stories and played traditional games like snake and ladder, ludo ,Palankuzhi with the old Grandparents .The grandparents shared their experiences and events with the children .The elderly persons were happy to be with the children and shared their memories. These activities filled the place with joy and happiness. An elderly person blessed and wished the students and added that he was pleased to see the younger generation spend time with old people in the old age home. This venture helped students to understand “People don’t need gifts or money they need your time. Students were happy to give their time to the elderly people and felt blessed to have Grand parents at their home.
