Navaratri is one of the most significant and awaited Hindu festival. The zeal and excitement of the festival is evident all over India.

The festival is primarily dedicated to Goddess Durga – Symbol of Power, who is worshipped in nine forms during the nine days of Navaratri.

We in Kikani started this festivity on 8th October, which is a new moon day – auspicious day. Idols of Lord Ganesha& Lord Krishna along with Kalasam were taken as procession by Board Exam Students. AgandaBhajan was sung and Ground Aarathi was shown to all the deities.

The speciality of Navaratri at KVM is that all the 10th& 12th students light a lamp and offer prayers to Gods along with their teachers. They also put soaked Navathaniya seeds in a pot, which grows during Navaratri depicting prosperity and growth.

Daily Pushpam, Aarti, Prasad and Prayers were offered. Student’s pooja was on 16th October, where students from KG to Grade 12 participated and got the blessings of almighty.

The Grandeur of the celebration was on 17th October. Teachers participated in the VizhakuPooja and LalithaShasaranamam was chanted. Trustees and well-wishers offered prayers and Prasad with Navaratri gift was blessed and given by our Principal Mrs. Geetha Raj. The whole celebration went on well with pioused gathering all over. Students also contributed dolls to the kolu, which is really worth mentioning.

Overall the celebration was filled with joy and happiness everywhere.
