World Blood Donor Day 2021: Theme “Give blood and keep the world beating”.

The morning school assembly sets the day and the paves the way for the students to rejuvenate their spirits, remain rooted to the moral values and unleash their vitality. Opportunities can be availed only by the prepared mind. In pursuit of the same, the students of grade XII seized the moment to make it memorable as they conducted their first online Class Assembly for the academic year 2021-22 on the topic ‘World Blood Donor Day’.
The assembly commenced with the Morning Prayer which is believed to provide peace and serenity to our minds and souls, followed by the thought of the day. The Informative power point presentation highlighted essential facts related to blood donation, types of blood group, minimum age of blood donation and the theme of World Blood Donor Day this year, as well as the benefits of blood donation for both the donors and the recipients.
The students also prepared a video on the posters created by them to raise awareness on Blood Donation which is the need of the hour. A speech on Convalescent Plasma Therapy as a treatment for COVID 19 was highly appreciated by everyone. Also, a pledge was taken by our students stating that in future they promise to be regular donors and make this world a healthier place. Then, the Principal Madam addressed the students and motivated them to spread the word on the benefits of Blood Donation for the society at large and also to donate blood after reaching the age of 18.
The assembly came to its finale with the students delivering a concluding message “Stay Home ,Stay Safe and a vote of thanks to their mentors. The assembly culminated with the rendition of the National Anthem.
Probably School Assemblies are indeed a first platform which is provided to young minds, boosting their confidence towards public speaking and imbibing a feeling of team spirit in their nascent minds. This assembly was undoubtedly a result of the immense efforts put together by students and the teachers. Finally, students were appreciated with words of motivation and encouragement for the sincere efforts made by the students in these challenging times
