WORLD EARTH DAY

Kikani Vidhya Mandhir celebrated Earth Day on Friday (21/4/23) to sensitize the students about the dangers meted out to Mother Earth. Chief Guest, Mr N.Mathivanan, Deputy Commissioner – Traffic presided over the function. The other dignitaries present were, School Correspondent, Shri. Tushar Kikani and trust members.
The celebration commenced with a soulful rendition on Earth’s well-being. Followed by thoughtful quotes on ” How to save the Earth ” in twelve different languages. Students took up a powerful oath and swore that they would take utmost care of nature, soil, water, Flora and Fauna”. Students of Grade 8 performed an action song by highlighting ” How small steps can lead to big changes in saving the earth.”
The Chief Guest addressed the gathering and appreciated the students’ efforts. To instil a robust sense and deepen students’ responsibility as the caretakers of the planet, saplings were distributed to the students by the Chief Guest. Followed by, Awareness Rally on ” Save Earth ” was flagged off by him. The Rally was taken up to highlight the importance of “how to maintain a clean and healthy environment on earth and how to conserve its resources.”
The celebration served as a conscious reminder of how fragile our planet is and how important is to protect it.
