PLASTIC AWARENESS PROGRAM INITIATED BY TEAM MITRATVA
International Plastic Bag Free Day was celebrated at Kikani Vidhya Mandir on 3rd July 2024. The awareness program was initiated by Team Mitratva with the theme: “SAY NO TO SINGLE-USE PLASTIC.” The program commenced with an expression of gratitude to the Lord.

The Earth song was sung by the choir, themed “Be a Defender of My Planet and Save Earth.” The assembly included a play titled “A Plastic Wave,” which was enacted to create awareness about plastic usage. The play centered on different generations, from the invention of plastic to future impacts, and was entirely ocean-themed, depicting the suffering of aquatic species.
A module was projected based on the Earth’s tolerance after the arrival of humans.
A conversation was presented about the invention of plastic, its integration into daily life, its harmful effects on nature and humans, and concluded by providing a list of controlling measures.

A plastic recycling cage named “The Plasto Arrester” (in the shape of a bottle) was inaugurated on the school premises to inculcate the practice of the 3Rs Cycle.

The students took a pledge to “Refuse, Reduce, Recycle, Reuse, Repair, Re-Gift, Recover, and Rethink plastic” to the best of their efforts.

The main motto is to encourage the upcoming generations to avoid plastic materials and use alternatives.
