World Food Day 2021: To mark the anniversary of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, every year, World Food Day is celebrated across the globe on October 16. This day aims at tackling global hunger and striving to eradicate hunger across the world.
The introductory speech highlighted the significance and importance of world food day.
Video on terrace garden showcased different types of vegetables like ladies’s finger,muskmelon and fruits like lemon , pomegranates , tomato , pineapple and herbal plants like spinach, veld grape, insulin, aloe vera, lemon grass, dill leaves were grown using organic fertilizers .
Presentation on modern agriculture and statistical data related to world hunger was highlighted.
Our Guest for the day Mrs.Archana Kumar, Proprietor “Punjab Express”shared her ideas and experience in hospitality and hotel industry.
Thus, the main takeaway by the students from this informative session was ‘Our actions are our future. Better production, better nutrition, better environment and a better life’.
