Rakshabandhan Celebration at Kikani Vidhya Mandir

On 17th August 2024, Kikani Vidhya Mandir celebrated the festival of Rakshabandhan, honoring the bond of love and protection between brothers and sisters. The event was marked by joy, unity, and a deep respect for cultural traditions.

The celebration began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the significance of Rakshabandhan, followed by a soulful prayer and a welcome address by M. Mekala Devi. Ms. Lakshmi delivered a heartfelt speech on the importance of the festival, highlighting its enduring relevance.

A Tamil poem recitation added cultural richness to the event, while a skit depicting the story of Yama and his sister showcased the protective bond between siblings. The day also featured a vibrant dance performance by the students, celebrating the spirit of togetherness.

The highlight was the Rakhi tying ceremony, where brothers and sisters, including trustees, SBKV trust members, and special guests, participated in the timeless tradition.

The Chief Guest ,Dr.Manisha Karia emphasized the importance of preserving India’s cultural heritage through such celebrations. Correspondent Shri Thushar R Kikani appreciated the efforts and extended his wishes to all. The event concluded successfully with Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms.Bhuvana , leaving everyone with cherished memories and a renewed sense of unity.
