NATURE CONSERVATION DAY ACTIVITY
On account of Nature Conservation, Grade 6 students of Kikani Vidhya Mandir organised various activities for a period of time dedicating to boosting conservation awareness, promoting environmental stewardship, and emphasizing the need of maintaining natural ecosystems and biodiversity. Throughout the week, numerous activities such as tree planting, clean-up drives, educational seminars, and community events are planned to engage people in conservation efforts and inspire them to make positive contributions to the environment. It acts as a reminder of our obligation to protect and manage our natural resources for future generations.
On the first day (22/07/24), the students actively raised awareness inside the school premises about the need to grow plants, nurture them and save them. They also raised awareness about water conservation, refusing plastic products and switching off the electrical appliances when not in use.
On the second day (23/07/24), the students organised a cleanliness drive. It is a focused effort to clean up and maintain cleanliness in the school campus. It’s an effective way to promote environmental awareness among the students and encourage them in community involvement and keeping public spaces clean.
By organizing a plantation drive (24/07/24) , students involved the parents and communities in the plantation of saplings for mother earth. It’s a meaningful way to make a lasting positive impact on the environment and foster a sense of environmental stewardship. Thus, the students along with the parents actively contributed to environmental sustainability, mitigate climate change, improve air quality, and create habitats for wildlife.
