Grade X Celebrates Father’s Day, Bakrid, and Global Wind Day
On 15June 2024, the students of Grade X at Kikani Vidhya Mandir led a multifaceted assembly celebrating Father’s Day, Bakrid (Eid al-Adha), and Global Wind Day. The assembly commenced with a solemn prayer led by our school choir, invoking blessings and expressing gratitude for the day ahead.
Father’s Day Celebration: The assembly featured thought-provoking quotes on fatherhood, recited by the students, followed by the reading of news headlines. A heartwarming video showcasing the importance of fathers and their roles in our lives was presented, resonating deeply with the audience. Tamil and Hindi songs celebrating fathers and their love were beautifully sung, adding a cultural touch to the occasion.
Bakrid (Eid al-Adha): An insightful speech was delivered on the significance of Bakrid, emphasizing the values of sacrifice, compassion, and community associated with the festival. This segment highlighted the cultural and spiritual aspects of Bakrid, fostering a sense of understanding and respect among the students.
Global Wind Day: Students engaged in a dialogue about Global Wind Day, discussing the importance of wind energy, its benefits for the environment, and advancements in wind energy technology. This discussion aimed to raise awareness about the role of renewable energy sources in achieving environmental sustainability.
Special Speech: Mrs. Jayalakshmi gave a special speech about the need for Father’s Day and how to live up to the expectations of fathers. She also briefed the audience on the importance of environmental sustainability and the role of renewable energy sources, particularly wind energy, in combating climate change.
The assembly concluded with the singing of the National Anthem, filling everyone with a sense of pride and unity. The event was a beautiful blend of cultural celebration, environmental awareness, and the expression of core values such as love, sacrifice, and sustainability.
