Agriculture Skill- farm-visit at Deesan Farms, Pollachi

Students of Grades 8, 9, and 10, who are part of the agriculture and eco-club, had an insightful field trip to Deesan Farms, where they engaged in various hands-on agricultural activities. The visit was an enriching experience that provided them with a closer look at sustainable farming practices.

The students were warmly welcomed with fresh fruits upon arrival, setting a positive tone for the day. They attended a presentation by Mr. Gnansaravanan,the farm’s owner, which delved into his motivations for engaging in agriculture and the values driving his farming journey.

The farm visit concluded with a reflection on the importance of food resources and the need for the next generation to understand where their food comes from to foster a culture of gratitude and reduce waste. This practical interpretation reinforced the importance of agriculture in daily life and encouraged students to respect and appreciate the effort behind food production.
