SCIENCE EXPO – REPORT (2023 -24)

Theme – Climate action (Avinya – Biophilic architecture)
Participants – Harini Tapasya – Grade 12, Swetha – Grade 11
Day 1 (30.6.23) – The inaugural of G20 Science Summit 2023 commenced with
the opening ceremony, which was presided over by Mr. Mohanram, Chairman of Sri
Eshwar College of Engineering in Coimbatore, and Shri Dinesh Ram, Regional Officer
for CBSE in Chennai.

The day commenced with a prayer song performed by SSVM students, followed
by an award ceremony to recognize the staff members and students who received centum
scores in all subjects on the board exams for grades 10 and 12. An exhibition about
science was launched. Judges from a panel of engineering colleges, including Arjun
College of Engineering and Technology and Sri Eshwar College of Engineering and
Technology, evaluated the projects. Various school students will attend the expo. Day 1
went smoothly and was over by 3:30 p.m.

Day 2 (1.7.23) – Next day the schools which had a tie break had a panel of judges
for evaluation. Both of the teams at our school underwent evaluation. Numerous schools
visited this location to view the displays as well. The final event was the valedictory
ceremony, which was attended by Dr. B K Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, Chairman of the
Kumaraguru College of Technology in Coimbatore.
