VISIT TO GURUKULAVASAM ANAADI FOUNDATION

Grade 12 students visited Gurukulavasam Anaadi Foundation, Palani, as a part of experiential learning on 21st and 22nd December 2023. The visit to Palani temple gave an auspicious start to the trip. Gurukul education is a traditional Indian Education System. Briefing on Dhyanalaya gave a glimpse on ancient education system and philosophies.

The Krishiseva emphasised the importance of organic farming and the role of agriculture in our lives. The Khel session along with the Gokul division of kids engaged all the teens with the young ones and shared some of the most embracing aspects that could be cherished. The Bhajan and Agnikriya provided knowledge on consciousness through music and symphony of words. The satvik food served gave an understanding on the role of simple food for physical and mental well-being.

Other sessions attended by the students were
i) GANITA : Introduction to IKS, BharatiyaGanita – Indian approach, 11 multiplication, base 100 multiplication, computing squares.
ii) AYURVEDA : Introduction to intuitive health through ayurvedic framework of panchamahabhutas, tridosha. Decoding one’s body using tridosha. Understanding food and nutrition through shadrasa framework.
The students were also engaged in other activities like Yoga, Gurupooja, Gau Pooja, Trekking and Farming.
The gurukulavasam visit imparted a profound understanding of traditional wisdom. The visit also gave a deep insight on unique blend of academic and moral education.
