Workshop on Financial Literacy

An investor education and awareness initiative by Kotak Mutual Fund in association with CBSE

A CBSE workshop on Basis of Financial Literacy and use of Digital tools was conducted by Mr.Varadharajan in the School Auditorium on 29/11/2023 for the teachers of Kikani Vidhya Mandir. Total 77 teachers attended this workshop.
Mr.Varadharajan Learning and Development Professional in BFSI,L&D manager associated with leading Life Insurance Corporation., Freelancer Trainer, Associate in Non-life Insurance, Certified in various insurance and financial sectors.
Sir elaborated on the various ways of saving one’s earning, planning one’s finance at different stages of life as well as benefits of investing in life insurance and health policies.
He also enunciated through varied examples from daily life, the concept like Impact of Inflation, Asset Allocation, Direct plans & Regular plans. He Highlighted on the increased significance of long term investments and motivated the attendees for save investment in SIP, NAV, Mutual Funds, Taxation benefits ,Types of banking accounts, Digital Payments, Health Insurance, Securing retirement ,Equity investing, NPS and similar schemes.
Further he explained use of digital payment smartly but be watchful of frauds, Product labelling, Nomination, and Complaints Redressal mechanism.
The session proved beneficial for the attendees as they clarified their doubts regarding investments and realised the importance of managing earning prudently.
