KIKANI VIDHYA MANDIR
Kikani Vidhya Mandir, a school deeply committed to nurturing young minds and instilling a sense of responsibility towards our planet, recently organized an inspiring Earth Day Assembly led by Grade 8 students. The assembly, held in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals, aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and pollution reduction.
The assembly featured a range of engaging activities, including prayer songs, an inspiring thought, speeches, and a mesmerizing Earth-saving dance performance. One of the highlights was the Palmprints promise, where students pledged to take action to protect the Earth, showcasing their dedication to environmental stewardship.
A key part of the assembly was the innovative solutions presented by the students, such as crafting waste baskets, tables, and baskets for growing flowering plants, enhancing the beauty of the school garden while promoting recycling and sustainability.
The chief guest, Shri Tharun Shah, an Apex Member of Siruthuli, delivered a highly inspiring address on water conservation and Earth-saving measures, enlightening the audience about various aspects of water conservation and the projects undertaken by Siruthuli.
School correspondent Shri Thusar R Kikani commended the Principal, staff, and students for their efforts in organizing such a meaningful event and encouraged students to participate in Siruthuli projects, further promoting environmental conservation.
As part of the celebration, the school distributed 1400 tree saplings to staff and students, reflecting its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability. This initiative aims to nurture these saplings into magnificent trees, contributing to a greener and healthier planet for all.
The students performed a street play in both Tamil and Hindi to raise awareness about saving the Earth to the community.
